n the Early, Mid Eighties the Hardcore, Punk scene in ex-Yugoslavia was very strong, the two bands on this split perfectly show the strength of the comtemporary Hardcore, Punk scene from this area:
DISTRESS from Belgrade, Serbia, also known as HERPES DISTRESS, were playing raw Eighties Hardcore, Punk like U.B.R., III. KATEGORIJA, STRES D.A., ... . The songs here are taken from the very rare "Put U Raj" EP, released in 1984 limited to 200 copies, and from a live gig with B.G.K., The Netherlands recorded in december 1984.
ODPAKI CIVILIZACIJE coming from Ljubljana, Slovenia also were into the raw and harsh Early, Mid Eighties Hardcore, Punk of that time. The material from this split LP was taken from the "Hardcore Ljubljana" comp. LP (including unreleased songs) plus some unreleased soundboard live tracks recorded in november 1984.
All tracks are taken from the original 1/4 inch master tapes which were remastered in the USA.
