In January 1996, DEAD IDEAS, one of Belgrade’s (Serbia) most iconic ‘90s Hard Core bands, embarked on a concert tour of Slovenia. It would be the only time Dead Ideas played in another province of the recently disintegrated Yugoslavia. The band was at its creative and performance peak with two vinyl EPs, cassette album, numerous concerts throughout Serbia, a festival in Italy, and a concert tour of Greece under their belt. The successful and well-attended tour consisted of seven concerts throughout Slovenia and was, unfortunately, the final chapter in the Dead Ideas story. The band broke up and ceased to exist by the summer of the same year.
As a part of the tour, Dead Ideas played at the legendary MKNŽ club in Ilirska Bistrica on January 12, 1996. This live performance was recorded on tape through the club’s mixing board. It has been recently unearthed and digitalized, just in time to mark its 25th anniversary. The tape contains previously unpublished song “No Excuse, No Fear” and cover of DK’s “Nazi Punks Fuck Off!” The cassette version comes with two exclusive bonus tracks not available on the digital release.
